What is the Best Job For Me - Finding the Perfect Job

Its a question asked by almost everyone 'What is the best job
for me?' Finding your niche job is no easy task. There are so many factors that
keep a person from getting and keeping a job they love. Many people never find
the right job in the first place. So, what can you do to figure out what job is
perfect for you and make sure you don't waste your life doing something you
hate? Let's look!
Find Your Passion:
The first and most important step to find a job that is good for
you is to ask yourself the question 'If I would be paid well no matter what I
did, what would I CHOOSE to do?' One of the hardest things people deal with is
thinking that they have to do the same thing they've been doing or do what
their family has been doing.
It is of course more comfortable to continue down
a job path that you are familiar with, but you have to think outside of that.
Don't limit your job options just because you don't have a lot of experience in
other fields.
Surround Yourself With People Doing What You Want:
A quick way to gain experience and knowledge in a job field your
unfamiliar with is to surround yourself people in that field. People usually
love to talk about their jobs and themselves. Also, being around people already
in your desired job field will give you a much higher chance of being
introduced to new opportunities.
Maybe they know someone who just left a
position or a company looking for someone but hasn't listed the job as
available yet. In any case, being around these people will help you get a feel
for the job and what leaders and companies are looking for.
Lend A Helping Hand:
This is a great way to 'fall' into a position. Find a successful
person doing what you want or running a company that requires the expertise you
want to learn. Find out what they need and ask if there is anything you could
do to help. While you aren't getting paid you are learning important things
that the company needs and are gaining valuable experience that can help you
later in your search for your best job.
Also, since your actions is benefiting
the person your helping they are going to make sure you are doing it right and
may also give you a good referral later if you do a good job. Do everything you
can to be around the job process you are looking for and network with
successful people in those same positions.
Don't Give Up:
Finding a position in life that you can truly say 'this is the
best job for me' is no easy task. While there are a lot of different things you
need to do to find that best job, one thing is for sure.. never stop looking.
It is so much better to continue trying hard and continue searching than to
settle for a job you hate and will drain your life as it goes on.
Just look at
the difference between an older person who has had a job they love all their
life and one who has always hated their job, which one do you want to be. Its
always worth the effort to continue looking and find a job you love.
